Social Media Management

One task I thoroughly enjoy is helping clients with their online presence. What does that mean? Well, let me explain a little.

Most businesses will start by launching a website, adding their details to sites such as Yell.com, Google my Business and then create basic social media pages for each of their preferred platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc. Its then a case of gaining ‘followers’ and getting ‘likes’, this can become a bit of a challenge once you’ve reached out to all of your personal contacts – family, friends and old work colleagues. Business pages are usually set up pretty quickly with little thought around content. Someone with business knowledge needs to manage these accounts regularly, this will help direct traffic to your website and ultimately get your business found by prospective clients or customers.

Some tips –

Produce a content plan – think about what messages you want to send to prospective clients or customers. How do you want your business to be seen and thought of? How can you engage with your target business market using innovative and unique posts?

Put the plan in place – schedule specific dates and times for your posts. Work out what preparation needs to be done in advance. Use eye-catching images and remember the posts need to be interesting and/or informative.

Software that can help – Using a tool like Hootsuite will save time and ensure consistency across all platforms.

If time is an issue – hire a VA! We have many tips and tricks to make your business more visible online.

It’s an important task to keep on top of your social media management and maintain high engagement with your connections. Remember, your online customers and clients want to know what you’re up to, the latest information in your business sector and most importantly, feel they are able to contact you easily through the various channels.
